More efficiency and higher revenues
Thanks to our AMCS vehicle technology, the next generation of fully calibrated, real-time and, robust bin management is here. Designed by our highly skilled team of engineers, on-board weighing, bin identification and waste collection has never been easier. To date, this technology has registered over 5 million bins. And is fitted on over 5,000 vehicles across local authorities and industrial and commercial waste haulers.
You can profit from this smart, end-to-end solution. Even if you obtain our hardware without the use of our software. However, with our in-cab mobile app and on-board computer you will gain more profit. In short, integrating our systems will result in a significant optimisation of revenues.
Our intention was to create a completely new category of working efficiency for the driver, planner and operational manager. With RFID, GPS, weighing, and in-cab mobile devices in an all-in-one solution. Empowering paperless round sheets, real-time tracking and planning, real-time monitoring of canbus data, bin management and maintenance.

Best in class vehicle technology improves bin and container management
As our customers will tell you, real-time route and bin data and mobile devices dramatically simplify tracking trucks, identifying collections and monitoring collection progress.
RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) improves the validating, monitoring and optimising of waste collections. With RFID you can:
- Increase fleet efficiency (up to 25%)
- Provide ultimate proof of service
- Track precise number of lifts
- Manage all bins and containers
- Minimise handling time with real-time access and visibility to vehicle and service data
- Graphical representation of routes for all vehicles in the field
- Identify and reduce missed pick-ups and driver recalls with real-time service verification
- Improve driver management as system interaction is at a minimum with RFID matching
- Real-time reports and updates between back-office, driver and vehicle
- One to one relationship between RFID tag and customer container provides ultimate proof of service
Have you ever wanted to improve your driver management? While reducing the margin for error on collections and routes? Or enjoy real office savings with real-time reporting and updates between office, driver and vehicle? Now you can. With AMCS vehicle technology you now have real-time visibility of vehicle, route and collection progress. You can track vehicles using GPS, with a graphical representation of actual route vs. scheduled route. And with the optional incorporation of RFID technology, you can validate, monitor and optimise your collection!
AES Case Study
“The AMCS platform plays an substantial role in our daily work as we are using it from the moment the trucks start in the morning all the way to billing the customers on a monthly basis. We are using a number of AMCS solutions like the Enterprise management software (ERP), Route optimisation, the on-board computer, and the weighing cells and the units on the back of the truck as well as reading transponders for lifts to identify the customers on the refuse and recyclable collection trucks.” explains Darren Sadler, Head of operations at AES.
With AMCS vehicle technology you can achieve:
AMCS on-vehicle technology provides weight information of all individual customers. These actual weight data are used for pricing and understanding contract value with waste collectors.
On-vehicle technology benefits:
Profit and loss analysis of all customersData on revenues lost through incorrect pricingControl of your biggest variable cost by weightEffective pricing plans targeted at your customer baseBlocking of unauthorised liftsBin management to minimise revenue leakage
Our end-to-end solution enables your hardware (RFID and weighing) to integrate into your mobile solution. This allows you to speak with different hardware types to communicate with the mobile solution.
Our end-to-end solution ensures:
Minimised customer call handling time by having real-time access and visibility to vehicle and service data Visualisation tools for dispatch and planners to monitor fleet in the field Reduced missed bins and crew recalls with real-time service verification Incorporation of RFID technology to provide ultimate proof of service
Using AMCS solutions you will see how important it is to understand the bin-to-weight ratio.
And realise the necessity of planning your collections and bin maintenance with asset tracking. And managing containers, deliveries and repairs.
AMCS weighing ensures you can:
Achieve more lifts per route by avoiding unnecessary delays with dynamic weighing
Optimise load efficiency across your entire fleet, ensuring each truck is operating at full capacity
Accurately weigh each lift/load and capture pertinent data to optimise your waste collection and increase profitability.
Identify profitability by customer
Automatically link weight to your customer. No manual interference. Fewer mistakes.

There are no scalability restrictions. Customers may scale to infinity. You become an agile architect and choose what you want.
By using the latest sensing technology ensure systems is the most accurate in the market and does not require calibration. The system can be remotely diagnosed and managed removing the need for expensive service visits.
AMCS Cloud technology benefits:
AMCS Cloud is an industry-leading cloud serviceOffers customers on premise and outsourced deployment modelsDeployed on Tier 1, high availability cloud AMCS infrastructureSuitable for waste and recycling operators who do not want the IT-related overheadsAllows operators to focus on their core business without having to invest in non-core competencies
Comply with local and International legislation
Companies in the Waste & recycling industry are bound to strict rules and regulations. National and local governments are implementing waste directives. Helping you to stay current and compliant is a major driver of AMCS.
The AMCS platform supports:
National & international waste directives
(Digital) Waste Transfer Notes/ manifests and European Waste Catalogue (EWC)
Landfill tax administration
Hazardous Waste directives & reporting
Fiscal & financial compliance
AMCS vehicle data hub
The vehicle data hub is a complete on-vehicle solution. Part of the refuse collection process, it reads RFID tags and collects vehicle data. It consists of a single unit with integrated GPRS, GPS, and Wi-Fi. As well as RFID reading, it handles I/O signals and CAN-bus data.
This modular system is available in a variety of configurations. The RFID unit provides GPS tracking with GPRS communication. With RFID reading modules that suit each customer's application.
To control costs and increase profitability, the AMCS weighing and identification system enables automated capture of weight and identification data during collection.
Identification of containers can be achieved using either RFID or GPS technologies. These ensure all data is transferred in real time to the office. The collection of containers can be blocked with the integrated stop listing feature. Typically, in the event of unpaid or overweight containers.
ISO9001 and ISO14001
Since AMCS was formed in 2004 the core value of quality and process control has been central to the development of the company. As a company that understood that international growth was a key factor for the company’s success, the adoption of the ISO standards gave the international market a clear indicator of the company’s ambitions and commitment to process management and quality.
Gaining ISO9001 was an early achievement for the company and since then AMCS has built upon this certification standard and is now the holder of both ISO9001 and ISO14001. As a provider of weighing and identification solutions AMCS used its background in quality and process management to attain and receive MID approval for its current and previous weighing solution. AMCS was one of the first companies in the weighing and RFID market that was granted permission to self-certify its weighing systems at time of installation and has since been granted permission to verify these systems in the field in UK & Irish markets. This is mainly down to the controlled processes that are currently in place in AMCS.
